A visit to the John Thompson followed by a walk along the river passed the caves to Foremark church.
Milldale
Climb high up overlooking Milldale, then continue gaining height as we cross fields towards Ilam Rock in Dovedale, up Hall dale to the Stanope tea rooms and farm shop.
Aston On Trent
Walk along the canal to Shardlow for a drink & homemade cake. This is a flat easy walk.
Grindon & Wetton Mill
Starting at Grindon church, mainly flat, crossing fields with views of Ecton hill. Following the manifold track adjacent to the river, stopping at Wetton Mill tea rooms then a steep hill returning into Grindon.
Hathersage
Walk along the river, cross over the stepping stones to walk through fields and lanes and pick up a drink back in Hathersage.
Repton
A circular walk with a couple of small climbs, taking in views of Foremark resevoir and Repton. Mainly tracks and fields, can be muddy in wet weather. An hours walk to finish at one of the pubs in Repton.
Ashford in the Water and Monsal Head Viaduct
From the picturesque village of Ashford in the Water to the team rooms or pub at Monsal Head dropping down next to the river for the return.
