• Bonsal and Matlock Bath

      Some steep climbs through woodlands with views across the valley.  Spot Riber Castle and High Tor, passing the Heights of Abraham and exploring Bonsal’s market square with a stop for some refreshments.

    • Longshaw Estate

      Dense woodland, an historic 19th century hunting lodge, with an excellent view of burbage rocks.  Longshaw Country Park is now owned by the trust, formally part of the Rutland estates.  Generally well maintained tracks with a tearooms at Lonshaw lodge and the Fox House Inn a 10 minute walk from the carpark.

    • Linacre Wood

      Passing through the village of Old Brampton, there are 3 reservoirs and plenty of woodland & stepping stones across a stream.  A 5 mile walk, it will take c2 hrs.
